Job Description:
ForceX is seeking a Project Engineer to deliver mission-focused technical solutions from concept through deployment and sustainment. The role partners across disciplines to translate requirements into executable designs that meet performance, cost, and schedule objectives. The Project Engineer coordinates day-to-day technical, cost, and schedule execution across engineering work streams. The role enables program delivery by connecting engineering teams, resource managers, and program leadership.
This level is a senior professional role with strong job-area knowledge and broad project management awareness.
Essential Functions:
- Execute engineering work products from requirements through verification and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware, software, and operational constraints into practical solutions.
- Conduct technical analysis, risk identification, and trade studies to support design decisions.
- Present technical status, issues, and recommendations in formal and informal reviews.
- Contribute to proposal, planning, and execution activities aligned to program milestones.
- Support compliance with customer, regulatory, and security requirements.
- Travel up to 25% to support integration, test, customer engagement, and program execution.
- Support work performed in a classified or controlled environment.
- Coordinate technical execution across engineering disciplines and program stakeholders.
- Maintain integrated schedules, status, risks, and action closure metrics.
- Prepare project health reporting and escalation packages for leadership.
- Drive issue resolution with engineering teams and line management.
- Support gate reviews, approvals, and operational readiness activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of relevant experience;
Graduate Degree and minimum 4 years; or in lieu of a degree, minimum 10 years of experience. Bachelor of Science in STEM preferred;
Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science acceptable. - Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- 6 years experience coordinating engineering projects with multi‑discipline contributors.
- 6 years experience managing technical, cost, and schedule priorities within program constraints.
- 6 years experience creating and maintaining actionable status and risk reporting.

Skills:
- Baseline:
Bachelor degree with 6+ years experience, or graduate degree with 4+ years. - Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
- Collaborates within and outside the function to gain cooperation on operational practices and execution decisions.
- Works effectively in cross‑functional engineering teams.
- Familiarity with earned value or structured project controls.
- Supports defense program reporting and customer reviews.
- Strong facilitation skills for cross‑functional decision forums.
