Sr. Engineering Manager – Tissue Manufacturing & Converting

Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and subject‑matter expertise in Tissue manufacturing and converting processes to lead overall process optimization through application of technology, implementation of best‐practice standards, and building capability within the salary & hourly teams.
- Develop and lead cost‑savings and optimization programs that support business strategies and drive measurable financial impact.
- Collaborate with R&D and peer Mills to support technical needs and identify best practices; determine project management details, monitor progress, and implement the envisioned future direction.
- Drive innovation in the development of new product, process, or material concepts, including conceiving, developing, validating, sharing, and teaching ideas that lead to improved products, processes, materials, or systems.
- Coach and mentor other team members, expanding technical understanding and leadership qualities; provide effective communication of accomplishments across plant and business‑unit stakeholders.
- Actively pursue and support standard solutions across the site and within the Tissue Business Unit; apply engineering principles, standards, and procedures in the execution of projects and programs to advance process innovation.
- Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate the impact of developments on Kimberly‑Clark.
- Protect and defend Kimberly‑Clark proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
- Support Lean Six Sigma methodology through mentoring of candidates and, where possible, hold or pursue LSS Black Belt certification.
- Ensure compliance with corporate safety, quality, regulatory, product safety, and sustainability requirements; protect and promote human resources development and diversity policies.
- Implement documentation and reporting of unit work as required by KC policy, ensuring effective communication, protection of proprietary information, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related discipline and 12+ years industrial experience, or another equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and a proven track record of leading and directing a technical team and projects that successfully meet business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members; frequently recognized as an expert in a key part of the Kimberly‑Clark proprietary knowledge base.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical issues in a business environment and to conduct all communications with integrity and honesty.
- Ability to influence across all levels and functions in the organization, drive decision‑making, and execute complex projects on demanding timelines.
- Proficiency in mining process data from MES systems and providing clear direction on opportunity areas for improvement.
- Strong Process Engineering / Process Technical expertise; subject‑matter expert in paper making manufacturing technologies, products, processes, and materials.
- Direct experience with Tissue Manufacturing operation and/or process development is preferred.
- Advanced problem‑solving skills, including complex problem‑solving and the conduct of larger problem‑solving sessions on business‑critical issues.
- Proficiency in Lean Six Sigma methodology with a goal of attaining or holding a Black Belt certification.
- Effective use of LEAN principles in the development and management of work and a demonstrated ability to drive change within the organization.
