Overview
HNTB is seeking an experienced engineering leader to design oversight for the I-24 Choice Lanes Project, a $5 billion partnership that will create two new lanes in each direction across a 26‑mile corridor. The role involves coordinating with the selected developer, supervising the general engineering consultant, and delivering technical leadership across right‑of‑way, railroad, utility, and environmental coordination.
Responsibilities- Develop project scope, fee quotation, and assist in preparing technical proposals and contracts.
- Serve as primary client liaison, managing project team to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.
- Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specifications, and production.
- Implement HNTB’s project delivery plan, develop and execute project management plans, and supervise/mentor team members.
- Oversee project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and performance reviews.
- Partner with client service leaders for business development, proposal preparation, and presentation of projects.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
- 2 years of successful engineering project management.
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- 12 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
