What We're Looking For?
The Structural Engineering Associate role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early‑career engineers eager to gain hands‑on experience across all phases of project delivery from schematic design through construction administration. Working under the direct mentorship of licensed Professional Engineers, you will contribute to structural analysis, design development, construction documentation, and project coordination. This position offers a strong learning environment, exposure to diverse project types, and the chance to build foundational technical and professional skills while supporting high‑quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities- Work as a member of a structural design team to design a variety of projects including Industrial, Commercial, Government, and Water/Wastewater projects.
- Work with a team in the preparation of calculations, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications for projects of various sizes and complexity.
- Support senior engineers in project planning, coordination, and delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
- Use engineering design software to prepare design documents.
- Accompany Senior Engineers on site visits, field inspections, and construction observation as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university. Master’s degree preferred.
- EIT Certification required.
- 0–4 years experience.
- Experience using Autodesk Revit is a plus.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job‑related manuals and documents.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Previous internship or co‑op experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced collaborative team atmosphere with an established group of design professionals.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
