• Work collaboratively with various disciplines along with industrial design, operations, and cross-functional engineering groups
• Brainstorm concepts and solutions to a wide variety of complex engineering challenges
• Increase, prototype, compare, and troubleshoot new designs
• Lead design evaluations and contribute to both internal and external design reviews
• Present your concepts to cross‑functional teams and leadership
• Generate targeted specifications and drawings
• Communicate with internal production teams and external vendors to optimize designs for performance, aesthetics, and manufacturability
• Conduct failure analysis and design experiments (DOE) to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
• Validate and represent designs through multiple iterations
• Develop deep technical knowledge by taking designs from concept to manufacturing
• Ensure that designs meet required performance and usability needs to provide high-quality hardware for customers

• Strong engineering fundamentals and high personal motivation
• Design intelligence: accurate mechanical intuition, innovative problem solving, inquisitive nature, attention to detail
• Strong communication skills: written, visual, and verbal; ability to clearly convey design ideas and contribute to brainstorming
• Experience developing parts and assemblies in 3-D CAD
• Proficiency in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis methods, functional dimensioning, and geometric tolerancing
• Knowledge of finite‑element analysis concepts and modeling
• Flexibility and comfort working in a fast‑changing environment
• Ability to travel internationally (up to 20%)

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• 2+ years of experience in product design

• Base pay range: $130,000–$242,000, determined by ability, experience, performance, and location
