Job Description
- Under direct supervision, develop large scale projects such as highways, tunnels, mass transit and aviation engineering designs of basic complexity to meet client project requirements.
- Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
- Ensure that firm policies and practices are followed on all designs.
- Perform site reviews and studies, as needed, to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications.
- Update design requirements as necessary.
- Inspect new construction and existing transportation structures as necessary.
- Contribute to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation of new or special case designs, studies, etc.
- Submit technical papers and designs for publishing to technical journals.
- Perform other duties as required.
- May create or work with a team to create a poster or other presentation material for a conference.
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Transportation, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. 0 years of experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required based on specific duties and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills & Abilities- Basic knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design.
- Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
