About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Civil/Site Project Manager to join a growing civil engineering team in Nashville, Tennessee. This individual will lead projects across a diverse portfolio of land development assignments, including commercial, industrial, mixed-use, residential, and municipal developments. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with project management and client-facing skills to successfully deliver projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage civil site development projects from initial planning through construction completion.
- Oversee the preparation of site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion control plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and support staff.
- Review engineering plans, specifications, technical reports, and permitting documents.
- Manage entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes with local jurisdictions.
- Support business development efforts through client relationship management and proposal preparation.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist with their professional development.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain Tennessee PE through reciprocity.
- 6+ years of experience in civil engineering and land development.
- Proven experience managing projects and client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of site development design, stormwater management, utilities, grading, and permitting.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience with Hydrology and Hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, or StormCAD preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, industrial, or residential land development projects.
- Nashville Metro permitting experience or familiarity with Tennessee regulatory requirements.
- Existing relationships with developers, architects, contractors, or municipal agencies in the region.
- Experience assisting with business development and pursuing new client opportunities.
- Competitive base salary ($110,000 - $160,000+, depending on experience)
