We’re a well-established architectural, environmental, and construction services consulting firm based in Nashville, TN, and we’re looking for an Industrial Hygienist I to join our collaborative, like‑minded professionals. This is a hands‑on role for someone with a strong science background, competent sampling and analysis skills, and a drive to protect health in the built environment. This is an in‑office role that may require travel up to 50% during certain months, depending on project needs, with weekends spent at home.

What

You’ll Do
  • Conduct field assessments and tests to identify, evaluate, and control occupational and environmental hazards.
  • Collect building material samples for asbestos, mold, and other potential hazards.
  • Sample dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials for analysis.
  • Perform moisture intrusion assessments and create moisture maps for water damaged facilities.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate a variety of sampling and monitoring equipment.
  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports with actionable recommendations to mitigate hazards.
  • Coordinate with sub‑consultants, contractors, and internal team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Maintain documentation and follow company policies, leveraging technology like ERP and Document Control software to optimize efficiency.
Requirements What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Biology, Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of progressive experience in Industrial Hygiene.
  • Active or in-progress Asbestos and Mold certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while producing high‑quality work.
  • Physical ability to access job sites, climb ladders, and lift 20+ lbs.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. citizenship (we cannot sponsor visas).
  • Willingness to travel for scheduled or emergency projects.
Why GHP

At GHP, success is measured by client satisfaction, project efficiency, collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth. We provide a supportive environment where your skills in environmental health can make a real impact.

If you’re ready to combine your scientific expertise with hands‑on fieldwork, help make buildings healthier and safer, and work with an amazing team while you’re at it…we’d love to hear from you!
