LISEGA, Inc., is seeking several Pipe Support Designers to join our growing team in Kodak, TN (about 20 miles east of downtown Knoxville, TN just off of Exit 407 on I-40). Our Pipe Support Designers are responsible for creating plans, designs, specifications and drawings based on calculations and written instructions provided by customers, or engineers.

These are used by LISEGA INC’s manufacturing to build a range of different products, from pipe support systems to standardized support components, using computer-aided design software applications.

General Duties:

Create, review, or revise product or pipe support plans and specifications.

Design components for new or existing products or applications.

Ensure accuracy of drawings and bills of materials generated by CADD/Designers; minimize or eliminate rework in manufacturing.

Work in a team environment to ensure accuracy and provide quality work.

Participate in meetings and work closely with estimating, manufacturing, OL, production and customer personnel to ensure quality design of new or redesigned products,

Ensure that design ideas are sound and in keeping with budgetary constraints.

Maintain working knowledge of the industry and apply industry specific codes and standards with the specifications of the designs that have been assigned.

Ability to work within specific Micro Station and NAVISWORKS environments and Auto CAD.

Ensure that electronic files of design documentation and other engineering data are securely maintained.

Verify drawings and documents are in accordance with engineering standards before release to manufacturing.

Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements /

Qualifications:

Must Have 3+ years of experience in 3-D modeling environment working specifically on pipe supports.

Must Have 2+ years of experience using Micro Station.

Associate's degree in industrial design or engineering is preferred.

Vocational and technical school certifications/diplomas in AutoCAD is required.

Knowledgeable of the industry safety and procedural requirements.

Working knowledge of and/or experience with ASME 31.1/3 is desired.

Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office software required in job.

Conceptualization skills are required to visualize finished products and projects.

Goal-focused, thrive in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.

Excellent oral/written communications and creative problem-solving skills.

Possess the ability to communicate with and transfer information to and from the customer and transfer drawing or report information to and from other engineers & technicians.
