Project Engineering Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Nashville, TN area
Food Manufacturing background required5+ years of engineering projects in food manufacturing
2+ years experience leading projects production line modifications
Multi-site engineering working with capex projects
Open to travel as needed for intercompany projects
If you've successfully managed capital projects in a food manufacturing plant—from concept through installation,we'd like to talk with you.
We're looking for a hands‑on Project Engineering Manager to lead production line modifications, facility improvements, and capital projects in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience is required, with meat processing experience highly preferred.
What You'll Do- Lead capital projects from concept, design, and budgeting through installation and startup
- Design production line modifications and facility improvements using AutoCAD
- Develop project scopes, engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates
- Manage project budgets, contractors, vendors, and installation activities
- Coordinate projects with plant operations to minimize production downtime
- Ensure projects meet engineering standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives
- Support multiple projects while partnering with plant leadership, maintenance, and operations teams
- BS Engineering or related field
- 5+ years engineering projects in food manufacturing
- 2+ years experience leading production line modifications and capital equipment installations, project management, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor management experience
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar capital projects is a plus
- Meat processing experience is highly preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 50% between company facilities
