Head of Mechanical Engineering

You own the mechanical design of our robots. Mechanisms, frames, motion systems. You decide what we build, and you are accountable for it working in a warehouse every day. With that said, you are not starting from scratch. We have 80% of v1. We need to get v1 in the field at our first deployments and iterate from there.

Experience is valued. However creativity, intuition, proclivity for action are more important.

Compensation: $110,000 base + equity + profit sharing + bonus

This is a leadership role. We're a small team building pallet AS/RS systems. Base salary here will not match a large metro corporate offer. What we offer instead is ownership with direct influence over the product, and a bonus and profit-sharing structure that grows with the company.

• Own the mechanical design of our robots. Assemblies, frames, and motion systems
• Work to refine documentation and workflows, from design to fabrication to assembly to installation
• Decide what we build, then prove it: FEA, hand calcs, and real-world iteration
• Vet current designs and raise the bar on what ships
• Create detailed fabrication and assembly drawings the shop can build from
• Support prototype builds and close the loop from the floor and the field
• Have fun, be curious, be confident in your abilities!

• Does first, asks second
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Proficiency with 3D CAD (Solid Works, Inventor, or similar)
• Hands-on experience building or assembling mechanical systems

Our software engineering team has been based out of the Flathead Valley, Montana. We are gauging interest in building in the area. If your lifestyle aligns with smaller cities, outdoor space, and recreation, you will love it in the Flathead Valley!

• Experience with material handling equipment (conveyors, shuttles, lifts)
• Familiarity with robotic systems or automated guided vehicles
• Background in rack structures or warehouse systems
