The Trust Advisor is responsible for administering trusts & estates, safeguarding client assets, and ensuring activities align with trust documents, fiduciary standards, and client objectives. This role works within a collaborative team structure to guide our clients in achieving their financial goals through holistic wealth planning. This position has high growth potential, including the opportunity to develop into SYM ownership.
Duties and Responsibilities- Understand, administer, and manage trust assets, distributions, and accounts according to the governing document
- Maintain accurate records and provide required reports to beneficiaries
- Advise clients on trust and estate planning matters
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and internal policies
- Support Company operations and assist with workflow oversight
- Identify and address risks or issues within trust accounts
- Manage client relationships through ongoing client contact and communications to establish and maintain a complete understanding of their financial objectives
- Network with local attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals to ensure favorable visibility of SYM services in the market
- Involvement at Company and community events and ensure favorable company presence within the community
- Proactively drive business development by identifying, cultivating, and converting new client opportunities to support long-term growth
- Position may grow to serve in a supervisory capacity – including growth planning, managing, training, and developing a team of advisors, financial planners, and client service representatives while fostering a strong team-oriented, positive culture
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or related field, and graduate work including J.D. or MBA preferred
- Additional certifications such as CPA, CFP®, CTFA preferred
- At least 5 years of experience with trust administration, estate planning, fiduciary management, or related financial services
- Working knowledge of financial planning, tax planning, estate planning, and trust administration
- Demonstrated involvement in the local community
- Experience with state and federal compliance laws and practices
- Team oriented with strong leadership skills.

Pay / benefits are very competitive based on industry standards
- Pay will be based on experience. Performance reviewed 90 days from date of hire. Thereafter, performance is informally reviewed each calendar quarter and formally reviewed at year end.
