Corporate Controller

The Corporate Controller is responsible for leading the Financial Reporting operations of Tran South and it’s subsidiaries. Tran South is a management company specializing in Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). The current NEMT divisions are Wheelchair, Transit, and Ambulance, consisting of four main entities as the existing platform for planned future acquisitions. This role will oversee the consolidation and financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, budgeting support, and audit readiness across multiple companies, including federal and municipal contracts.

The Corporate Controller will have current direct reports of at least one Controller and an Accounting Manager, including the supporting accounting staff across multiple business divisions.

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll coordination, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely reporting.
• Develop financial analyses and reporting tools to support executive decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with federal contracting requirements, including FAR, DCAA, and cost accounting standards (CAS), as applicable.
• Oversee contract revenue tracking, indirect rate calculations, and job cost accounting.
• Support pricing strategies and financial modeling for new contract bids.
• Coordinate audits and act as primary liaison for external auditors and government agencies.
• Design, implement, and maintain strong internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
• Monitor cash flow, forecasting, and working capital management.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Business Development, Operations, and HR.
• Assist the CFO in long-term financial planning and capital allocation strategies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple contracts and regions.
• Provide scenario modeling for expansion into new municipal and federal markets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant public accounting and/or large multi-entity corporation healthcare or government contracting experience preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and internal controls; experience with federal compliance frameworks is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Sage Intacct preferred).
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines.
