AVP, Inforce Reinsurance Actuary — Data-Driven Leader

AVP, Inforce Reinsurance Actuary will report to the SVP, Inforce Reinsurance Actuary. This role is based in our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis.

• Manage the development, analysis, and reporting of Cost of Funds across the Fortitude Re product portfolio.
• Provide analysis and report on emerging experience across the Fortitude Re product portfolio.
• Develop a wide-range of A/E liability experience dashboards covering enterprise-wide Fortitude Re product experience.
• Prepare reporting for Board and other key stakeholders including committees and senior management.
• Play a key role in managing counter party relationships, governance, and initiatives including Client Cedant Audits.
• Improve processes through use of data integration, analytics, and visualizations.
• Execute on various ad hoc projects and key initiatives.
• Collaborate closely across actuarial, finance, investment, and data teams.

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation, with 7+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience, or Career ASA with 6+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience post-ASA; strong candidates with commensurate experience will be considered.
• Deep insurance product-level knowledge required, with familiarity with reinsurance a plus.
• Proficient programming skills, with expertise in Python and Power BI preferred. Familiarity with other programming languages is a plus.
• Highly motivated, results-and-goal-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and with a high level of discipline.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional collaborative teams and in working with senior management.
