Senior Director - Institutional Valuation
OverviewCushman & Wakefield’s Institutional valuation group is hiring state‑licensed appraisers to work in primary and secondary markets across the US. The team focuses on valuation and consulting for quarterly and annual fund valuation for fair value financial reporting. Candidates should have 5–10 years of experience with institutional properties and clients, and the MAI designation is preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare appraisal reports, consulting deliverables, and financial analytics in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while ensuring consistency in methodology across portfolios.
- Collect data, conduct market research, and analyze complex scenarios and revenue/expense performance.
- Execute valuation assignments that include cash‑flow projections, present‑value analysis using Argus Enterprise, comparable sales, detailed cost analysis, and reconciliation of final values.
- Travel domestically as required and attend industry functions.
- Serve as a direct interface with senior executives, clients, and target companies, including participation in presentations and conference calls.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, team environment and proactively solves problems.
- Strong analytical skills with deep attention to detail.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
- Experience handling multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn new systems, databases, and employ AI tools for efficiencies.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced user of MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and Argus Enterprise.
- State Certified General License (required); MAI designation preferred.
- Solid understanding of Fair Value (ASC 820), IVS, and familiarity with AMC platforms such as Altus/AVI and Situs VMS.
- Real‑estate portfolio experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field (required).
- 5 to 10 years of institutional valuation experience (required).
Salary range: $110,000 – $150,000 plus opportunity to earn commission on a fee‑split model.
