Plant Accountant

The Plant Accountant is responsible for analysis of actual versus standard costs, prepares reports of variances and conducts simple cost audits. Responsible for compiling data, preparing and submitting statistical reports for the comparison of costs and determination of profitability by product and/or customer. Conducts more complex cost audits. Prepares and submits statistical reports for the comparison of costs and determination of profitability by product.

Prepares estimates of new or proposed product costs. Supports site operations from a finance standpoint.

• Provides analysis of actual costs.
• Analyzes cost records and calculation of unit cost for products or services related to a specific job or project; examines any costs that seem contrary to experience.
• Ensures that assigned processes, procedures and workflows are completed consistent with corporate guidelines and compliant with internal and external requirements.
• Site Finance lead with strong support to operations team.
• Lead finance related projects for their site.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / Finance or related field
• Strong software applications skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Work effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Excel
• QAB Software a plus!
