Intrepid Investment Bankers, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (NYSE: MUFG), is a specialty investment bank focused on M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory services for entrepreneurs, family‑owned companies, private equity sponsors and major corporations. The Healthcare & Life Sciences Associate will work from an MUFG office or client sites four days a week and remotely one day. Candidates should be based in Nashville or Los Angeles.

Responsibilities
  • Organize, review, and analyze due diligence processes and materials.
  • Develop valuation analyses and models, including projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, and historical M&A transactions.
  • Prepare comprehensive pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations and marketing materials.
  • Compile prospective acquirer and investor lists and contact acquirers and investors.
  • Perform key steps in the transaction execution process.
  • Support senior bankers in establishing client relationships and maintaining direct contact with current and prospective clients.
  • Interact with senior bankers to help build the firm, including training, recruiting, and mentoring.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of sell‑side M&A advisory and investment banking experience with a record of completed transactions from pitch to close in various healthcare and life sciences sectors.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of completed transactions from pitch to close in healthcare and life sciences sectors.
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a top‑tier school.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, process orientation, and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in financial analysis and modeling.
  • Proactive, results‑oriented, can‑do attitude, and team player.
  • Self‑starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding, fast‑paced environment.
  • Significant maturity and ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Proficiency with S&P Capital IQ, Pitch Book, Salesforce CRM, and online data‑room platforms.
  • Required SIE and Series
    79 and
    63 licenses.
Compensation & Benefits

The typical base pay for this role is $170,000, depending on location and experience. The position may be eligible for discretionary performance‑based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
