Position will be Hybrid (In office/Remote). Travel required within Tennessee and occasionally out of state.
Start Salary: $50,004 annually.
Position requires a valid motor vehicle license and a criminal background check.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field, with a minimum of 9 semester hours of accounting and/or finance.
- OR professional bank examination work may substitute for required education, on a year‑for‑year basis up to a maximum of 4 years.
- Maintain a Valid Motor Vehicle Operators License.
Under immediate supervision, responsible for professional bank examination work of routine difficulty, attends required schools and performs related work. Entry level in Bank Examiner series. Learn to review and analyze financial statements and operations of state‑chartered banks licensed in Tennessee.
After a two‑year training period, reclassified to Bank Examiner 2*; inadequate performance may result in demotion or termination.
Responsibilities- Analyze data and information: learn to interpret financial data to determine financial stability of an institution; evaluate earnings, capital, liquidity, investments, interest‑rate risk, and internal controls.
- Identify compliance: ensure institution meets state and federal regulatory guidelines by reviewing policies, procedures, practices, processes, financial records; maintain up‑to‑date knowledge.
- Communicate information: ask questions, discuss with team members, supervisors, and department personnel; meet with institution management to obtain information and deliver findings.
- Prepare written comments, analyses, and related documentation: write comments and analyses for examination reports, scope memoranda, work papers, and other documentation to support findings, conclusions, and ratings.
- Train: actively participate in on‑the‑job training and required schools; complete requisite precourse work when applicable.
- Lead: serve as Operations Manager overseeing team evaluation of capital, earnings, liquidity, interest‑rate risk, and internal controls.
