- Job Summary
:
The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for generating new loan and deposit business by initiating and developing relationships with businesses, industries, developers and consumers, maintaining acceptable credit quality and appropriate loan pricing, and expanding individual portfolio management and client relationships. - Key Accountabilities
- Achieve Sales Targets:
Work to achieve assigned personal sales goals through proactive activities and behaviors that lead to results. Align client and bank objectives, orchestrate resources and referral partners, use a consultative selling approach, and leverage centers of influence to build a pipeline of business. - Loan Originations:
Ensure loan requests meet current loan standards by evaluating purpose, structure, and pricing; partner with support staff to meet expectations; seek guidance from lenders and executives for best terms. - Portfolio Management:
Manage a portfolio of customers, monitor compliance with loan standards, strengthen existing relationships, manage delinquencies, and refer timely to Special Assets.

- Strategy in Action:
- Bachelor's degree and/or H.S. Diploma/GED with equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years relevant Commercial banking experience.
- Ability to orchestrate organizational resources, identify key players, communicate information, and build collaborative client‑focused relationships.
- Knowledge of Loan Standards, Loan Review Administration, and Banking/OCC Procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of successful sales performance with strong business development skills.
- Strong sales, negotiation, and financial analysis skills.
- Relationship Manager roles may vary between RM II, RM III, and RM IV. This position may be filled at a different level depending on the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience. Factors include:
- Depth and breadth of prior commercial lending, business development, credit, and portfolio management experience.
- Consistent years with success and a track record as a Relationship Manager.
- Ability to navigate complex credits and unique situations.
- Market influence and ability to acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring peers using leadership skills.
- Agility and proficiency to adapt to changing sales practices and market conditions.
