Job Summary
WEX is seeking a self‑driven FPA Manager to oversee the OTR and Factoring line of business, supported by two FPA Analysts. The role will manage forecasting, budgeting, income statement preparation, and analysis for the OTR and Factoring businesses.
Responsibilities- Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Prepare and analyze the income statement for the Over the Road (OTR) and Factoring businesses.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance peers and support the Director of OTR & Factoring and the Senior Director of US Mobility.
- Respond to internal customer requests for financial information and work with sales teams to provide pricing to current and prospective customers.
- Drive improved and simplified processes and data analytics to support the business.
- Support key FP&A functions including performance reporting, departmental expense analysis, variance analysis, benchmarking, and analytical reporting.
- Provide insight and guidance to senior leadership on risks, opportunities, and emerging activities that are off track.
- Maintain awareness of global economic trends affecting the company, such as growth rates, interest rates, exchange rates, and fuel prices.
- Assist in analysis and preparation of financial information for quarterly earnings communications to the Board of Directors and the investment community.
- Manage and develop a team of analysts and interns, coaching them to success.
- Lead ad‑hoc projects and analysis such as M&A, periodic reports, and management recommendations.
- At least 5 years of financial management experience in high‑growth, technology‑focused organizations.
- Proven ability to work closely with sales personnel and internal management.
- Experience supporting the delivery and creation of financial performance management reports and scorecards with operating KPIs.
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interface with multiple levels of associates, management, and internal executives in a matrix organization.
- SOX and listed company reporting responsibilities.
- Reporting of actuals, forecasting, and budgets.
- Analytical and financial modeling experience.
- Financial systems experience, including ERP systems and consolidation for corporate systems. Knowledge of People Soft and other ERP system(s) is required.
- Must pass a successful background investigation.
