This position is located at our Nashville location.

As a Collections Manager, you are responsible for a variety of duties relating to the administration and operation of the Collections Department, which includes records, collections, and insurance. Responsible for coaching and supervising the staff. Ensures collection policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations, are being adhered to
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESHigh school diploma is required. College, business school, or related post high school training or equivalent related experience is preferred. A degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related area from an accredited four-year college or university is desired.
ExperienceMinimum of five years of financial institution experience managing a collection program of comparable or greater scale is preferred. Prefer experience in collection of consumer loans, credit cards, or similar accounts.
Physical, mental, and visual requirementsMost of the essential functions of this position are performed while seated at a desk. Extensive telephone work is performed, requiring good verbal communication skills. In working with repossessed collateral and foreclosed property, heavy lifting may be required Manager must be able to move freely from one area to another, as well as occasionally travel to areas within Middle Tennessee to inspect properties as needed.
Property inspection often requires the ability to negotiate rough terrain and steep areas. Much of the work is performed using a personal computer and requires excellent visual, audio, and manual dexterity. The volume and nature of the duties of this position require the physical and mental stamina to handle multiple functions, meet required deadlines, and withstand periods of high stress.
A valid Tennessee driver's license is required as the company car is often used for this position.
PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires a professional appearance and leadership qualities with the ability to coach, lead, and motivate staff. Must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail, personal initiative, and display good judgment. Good organization, planning, and communication skills are required. A high degree of integrity, honesty, and dependability are necessary.
