As a Consumer Lending Specialist, you will play a vital role in assisting members throughout the lending process—from application to loan closing—while ensuring compliance with lending guidelines and delivering exceptional member service.

• Assist members with consumer loan applications through phone, email, and online communication channels.
• Review and process loan applications accurately and efficiently.
• Submit completed loan applications to the underwriting team.
• Collect and organize supporting documentation requested by underwriters.
• Analyze credit bureau reports to identify additional lending opportunities.
• Assist with opening new member accounts related to Indirect and Gravity Loan programs.
• Partner closely with underwriters to coordinate loan closings and funding.
• Ensure all loans are processed according to established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain reports and documentation as requested by management.
• Provide consistent follow-up throughout the lending process to ensure an excellent member experience.
• Deliver exceptional service while building and maintaining positive member relationships.

• Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and active listening skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of consumer lending experience required.
• Retail sales experience preferred.

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use a computer and related office equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
