Financial Advisor / Consultant
Job Purpose
The Client Consultant Trainee program provides motivated individuals with an opportunity to gain foundational experience in the financial services industry while preparing for a future role as a Client Consultant. Trainees will support the Client Consultant team by performing administrative and operational tasks while simultaneously studying for required industry licenses. This role is designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and credentials necessary to transition into a Client Consultant position upon attainment of required licenses and demonstration of performance standards.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Provides administrative and operational support to the Client Consultant team, including maintaining accurate client and case records, preparing documentation, and updating CRM systems.
- Assists with client onboarding, application processing, and follow-up activities to ensure a seamless client experience.
- Coordinates communication between internal stakeholders, financial professionals, and clients to support the sales and service process.
- Tracks case statuses, monitors outstanding requirements, and ensures timely resolution of pending items.
- Participates in training sessions to learn about Jackson’s products, systems, and the financial services industry.
- Studies for and obtains required licenses (SIE, Series 6 or 7, Series 63, and State Insurance License) within the designated timeframe.
- Observes and shadows Client Consultants to gain exposure to client interactions, product recommendations, and best-interest practices.
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives and supports departmental projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and desire to learn about financial products and client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work as a self-starter within the framework of a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to providing exceptional client service.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Some prior financial services industry experience or a degree in personal financial planning (or a similar field) required.
- FINRA SIE, FINRA Series 6 or 7, FINRA Series 63, State Insurance License within 90 Days required.
- Individuals without required registrations will be limited in job function until all registrations are obtained .
