If you have worked for a credit reporting agency, mortgage lender, mortgage broker, or another organization using Meridian Link Mortgage Credit Link or Xeda Link , make sure that experience is clearly listed on your application.

Experience with mortgage credit reports, supplements, credit file maintenance, bureau freezes, refresh reports, or CRA systems is also a significant plus.

Credit Researchers play an important role in helping CIC Credit deliver accurate, timely information to mortgage professionals and their borrowers.

You'll work directly with creditors, clients, consumers, and other CIC team members to research information, resolve issues, and keep credit-related requests moving.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contacting creditors to verify current account information and credit trade lines
• Confirming creditor requirements, fax information, turnaround times, signatures, and conference-call procedures
• Sending verification requests to creditors by email and fax
• Coordinating conference calls with consumers and creditors
• Following up with creditors on outstanding requests
• Responding to client and consumer chats
• Answering client emails, alerts, support tickets, and questions
• Assisting other Credit Researchers with calls and workload when needed
• Maintaining creditor information and internal records
• Routing documentation to the appropriate credit files

You do not need to know everything on day one.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is helpful.

A high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience , is required.
