Overview

The pharmacist will serve in the campus pharmacy to support pharmacy operations as well as work with key stakeholders to expand and implement innovative pharmacy services to the campus community. Additionally, the pharmacist will work with the Director of Community Practice Advancement to develop advanced pharmacy services and implement within the greater Nashville community. This will involve implementing new services and visiting neighboring pharmacists to assist them in meeting goals for service development and implementation.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the pharmacist on duty for the Belmont University Campus Pharmacy by providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care for patients and/or their representatives, processing/dispensing prescriptions, providing education, guidance, supervision and training to students, technicians, and interns, administering immunizations, and complying with all laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Work with pharmacy manager to implement and expand pharmacy services offered within the campus pharmacy.
  • Work with Director of Community Pharmacy Practice Advancement to develop and implement advanced pharmacy services to enhance community pharmacy practice and education.
  • Work with student organizations as preceptor on occasion during community facing events such as health fairs, educational, and screening activities.

(Intermediate) Technical, Computer, and Software

Skills:

Ability to use Microsoft
Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic databases and software.

Required:

Doctoral Degree >
Field of Study:
PharmD

Level of Experience > 4-6 years

Required TN Pharmacist License

Preferred Requirement: PGY - 1 Community Pharmacy Residency
