VHCS Clinical - Pediatrics
Job SummaryEvaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re) habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educate and counsel patients and families. Provide independent therapeutic services and identify area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervise graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participate actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborate with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives.

Position OverviewWe are seeking a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide pediatric home‑based speech therapy and infant feeding intervention for medically fragile infants and children. This PRN position offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the home setting.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat neonates and infants with swallowing and oral feeding disorders
- Provide pediatric speech-language therapy to support communication and developmental milestones
- Educate and counsel families on feeding strategies and home‑based exercises
- Deliver independent therapeutic services and identify clinical areas of specialization
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain best practices in pediatric home health
- One (1) year of experience with infant medical feeding required
- Licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist in the state of Tennessee or eligible for licensure
- Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and commitment to patient‑centered care
- Ability to work independently in a home environment
