Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Central Sterile Processing Technician for full-time, Evening Shift- 2:30p-11:00p.
The Sterile Processing Tech is primarily responsible for storing, preparing, sterilizing, assembling, and delivering supplies and equipment to designated areas.
As a Central Sterile Processing Tech, you will:- Retrieve used equipment and instruments from patient areas; clean properly and place them in designated areas.
- Inventory sterilization supplies and report needed items to the clerk for reorder in a timely manner.
- Assemble, wrap, and label all instruments/trays and prepare them for sterilization.
- Visually check all items before placing them in the sterilizer for package integrity.
- Unload the sterilizer after each completed load and prepare the items for delivery or place them in proper storage in CS.
Qualifications:
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or CST (Certified Surgical Technologist)
- BLS Required
