This individual has a natural ability to brighten a room and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This innate compassion allows them to connect on a deeper level and cultivate unique, personalized experiences for patrons. Their primary goal is to lead the front desk to create distinctive experiences.
Requested Tasks:
- Manage front desk needs including guest check ins/outs, reservations and all other inquiries
- Resolve guest inquiries and/or concerns quickly, efficiently and courteously
- Supervisor front desk staff
- Select, onboard, train and cross train all front office team members
- Make sure that the front desk area is clean, tidy and well maintained
- Coordinate with other departments as needed (housekeeping, operations, etc.)
- Supervise and work closely with bell staff
- Respond to guest surveys
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Arrange for guest transportation, as needed
- Ensure front office revenues are in line with the budget.
- Maintain Scheduling
- Oversees Front Office Inventory
- Maintain open interdepartmental communication
- Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles
- Additional duties and assignments as assigned
- Prior experience working at the front desk of a hotel highly preferred
- Professional, approachable and courteous personality
- Organized and detailed
- Required to stand for long periods of time, able to walk, able to assist guests with baggage, packages, etc.
- Prior experience with PMS systems. (Opera, Alice, Birchstreet, etc) highly preferred
- Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
