The HRIS Project Coordinator is responsible for leading end-to-end HR technology initiatives while serving as the internal owner of our HR systems environment. This role combines project management with hands-on system administration and cross-functional coordination.

You will oversee HRIS enhancements, and modernization initiatives while ensuring accurate employee data, secure access, compliant workflows, and reliable integrations across HR Operations, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and Learning systems. You’ll report to the HR Business Partner and partner closely with HR functional leads, Payroll, IT, and external system vendors.

What You’ll Own:
  • Lead full lifecycle HRIS enhancements, reporting and modernization projects
  • Define scope, timelines, milestones, resource plans and processes
  • Assists in project management, including timeline management and documentation duties
  • Track and report on scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and outcomes
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact for project updates and executive reporting
  • Develop mitigation plans for risks and roadblocks
  • Partner with system vendors to ensure successful configuration and delivery
  • Produce execution-level project management — ensuring work moves forward, stays organized, and delivers outcomes.
HR Systems Administration & Optimization
  • Administer and configure HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG, Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar)
  • Manage roles, workflows, forms, approvals, and security permissions
  • Oversee system integrations and data migration activities
  • Partner with Payroll and Benefits to validate:
  • Job and compensation changes
  • Time and attendance rules
  • EDI files and vendor feeds
  • Manage onboarding workflows and compliance documentation
  • Conduct recurring data audits and proactively resolve discrepancies
  • Partner with IT on SSO provisioning and access controls
  • Support regulatory and compliance reporting (multi-state requirements)
  • Ensure data integrity, audit readiness, and secure system access
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops
  • Clarify owners, deadlines, and next steps
  • Communicate project progress proactively and clearly
  • Translate system impacts into plain language
  • Manage vendor relationships and hold partners accountable
  • Escalate appropriately while offering solution paths
