  • Translate development timelines, go-live schedules, and asset design decisions into accurate depreciation forecasts.
  • Partner with PMO and technology leaders to ensure project financials reflect scope changes, delays, and milestone completions.

Capitalization & Asset Planning

  • Analyze technology projects to determine appropriate labor and non-labor capitalization under relevant accounting standards.
  • Track assets from design through implementation to ensure accurate start dates for depreciation and alignment with go-live dates.
  • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure capitalized costs are recorded and depreciated accurately.

Vendor Rationalization & Cost Optimization

  • Partner with Procurement and Technology leadership to evaluate the vendor landscape, identify duplication, and recommend rationalization strategies.
  • Track vendor performance and usage metrics to inform renewal, renegotiation, or termination decisions.
  • Model cost savings and ROI from vendor consolidation or contract optimization.

Reporting & Decision Support

  • Deliver clear, actionable reporting for Technology & Product leadership, including KPI dashboards, project-level financial status, and vendor spend analysis.
  • Provide scenario modeling for technology investments, considering lifecycle costs, depreciation, and operating expense impacts.
  • Support business cases for transformational initiatives, including cloud migration, platform modernization, and system consolidation.

Process Improvement & Tools

  • Enhance automation and standardization of reporting for technology spend and capital tracking.
  • Integrate data from ERP, project management tools (e.g., Jira, Oracle Time & Labor), and financial planning platforms into cohesive reporting solutions.
  • Recommend process changes to improve visibility into project spend and vendor usage.
Qualifications
