IDR is seeking a Server Infrastructure Advisor 1 to join one of our top clients in Nashville, TN. This role is perfect for a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer with a passion for storage solutions and VMware virtualization technologies. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust storage systems and virtualized environments. Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement storage solutions that meet business needs, including SAN, NAS, and DAS systems.
- Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and resource allocation for ESXi hosts and vCenter servers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimal downtime.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for storage and virtualization issues, participating in on-call rotations for critical incidents.
- Identify and implement infrastructure optimization opportunities, leveraging automation and scripting for efficiency.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure with a focus on storage and VMware virtualization.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies and VMware tools, including ESXi and vCenter.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are a plus.
