While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation is required throughout the year. Team and company-wide offsites are held multiple times annually to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment. Attendance is expected and fully supported.

• The Travel Rule is a global FATF regulation requiring Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) to share customer information for crypto transactions above certain thresholds. Coinbase operates TRUST (Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology), the world’s leading Travel Rule solution with 100+ VASP members including major exchanges.

• As Travel Rule DRI, you’ll own the Travel Rule Platform (APIs, backend infrastructure, TRUST network) while partnering closely with Consumer and Insto PGs who own their respective front-end experiences. You’ll also be responsible for growing TRUST’s market position against competitors like Notabene and Sumsub.

• Own company-wide Travel Rule strategy and execution as the single-threaded DRI, partnering with Consumer and Insto PGs on their front-end implementations

• Grow TRUST market share by signing new VASPs, expanding network/asset support, and driving go-to-market efforts

• Own Travel Rule Platform APIs and backend infrastructure that Consumer and Insto integrate with

• Support international expansion by enabling new entities and jurisdiction-specific requirements (e.g. India, EU, UK)

• Strengthen TRUST’s privacy and security posture to reinforce Coinbase’s ‘Most Trusted’ position

• Drive program health and stakeholder alignment across a complex, multi-PG domain

• 5+ years of product management experience

• Experience building platform or API products that other teams integrate with

• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional alignment across multiple stakeholders without owning the end-to-end UX

• Experience with compliance, regulatory, or risk products in fintech or financial services

• Strong analytical skills and experience defining success metrics

• Business development or partnership experience preferred

• Crypto, blockchain, or AML/KYC experience

• Experience with open source or industry-wide protocols/standards

• Experience operating with international teams across time zones

• Payment networks or platforms experience

• Experience with self-custody wallets or stable coins

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include bonus eligibility + equity eligibility + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).

Base salary range shown. Total compensation also includes equity and bonus eligibility and benefits:

$180,370—$212,000 USD
