Overview
Position Summary:
The Network Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and monitoring the IT networks of the College.
- In collaboration with the Network Administrator, determines network needs.
- Troubleshoots LAN infrastructure.
- Maintains and repairs hardware, including peripheral devices.
- Performs maintenance and upgrades without interrupting business workflow.
- Works with vendors to procure network equipment and systems.
- Monitors network performance and offers solutions to improve the network.
- High School Diploma or educational equivalent.
- CIT or related network certification.
- Minimum One (1) Year Of Networking Experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Layer 1 to Layer 3 infrastructure.
- Associate’s degree or CCNA/networking certification equivalent.
- Working knowledge of VOIP network phone administration.
- Knowledge of Aruba network technology.
Skills And Abilities
Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of population of faculty, staff and students. Ability to practice effective communication techniques, both orally and in writing, including ability to coordinate a variety of resources in gathering information and independently answering inquiries. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with mastery of Word and Excel. A better-than-average understanding and appreciation for computer systems and technology.

Rate of Pay: $50,310.00 - $60,372.00 depending on experience
