Job Description # Business Analyst IIWe are seeking a
** Business Analyst II
** to support a large‑scale logistics and transportation organization focused on optimizing freight movement and pricing strategies across a national network. This role sits within a
** product and technology organization
** that partners closely with operations, analytics, and engineering teams to drive data‑backed decision making.
* Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
* Build and maintain dashboards and reporting to support operational and pricing decisions
* Partner with product managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to define requirements and success metrics
* Write clear documentation outlining user needs, system functionality, and process flows
* Perform ad hoc analysis using Excel, SQL, and BI tools to support time‑sensitive business questions
* Support development or enhancement of reporting tools and analytical solutions
* Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner
* 4–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role
* Advanced Excel skills (large datasets, formulas, pivot tables; Power Query or macros a plus)
* Experience building dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools
* Foundational to intermediate SQL skills for querying relational databases
* Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities
* Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical or analytical outputs
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
* Experience supporting logistics, transportation, supply chain, or pricing teams
* Exposure to product or technology‑driven environments
* Experience working with large, complex datasets in fast‑paced organizations
