Trans Core (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering,
actively seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Program Management to join our Software Development team. This position will be based in Nashville, TN, or Round Rock, TX.

Job Summary

Trans Core is seeking an experienced Director of Program Management with 8-10 years of success leading large-scale, multi-year system integration programs delivered through a Scrum-based Agile framework. This role is responsible for program-level planning, execution oversight, financial coordination, and executive reporting across complex hardware-software initiatives involving real-time embedded systems and enterprise server solutions.

The successful candidate will be technically savvy, comfortable interfacing with senior engineers and software leaders, and experienced operating within a matrixed Agile environment where delivery is by Scrum teams supported by Senior / Lead Scrum Masters. The Program Manager ensures alignment between Agile execution and enterprise commitments related to scope, schedule, budget, risk, and product readiness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership in a Scrum Delivery Environment
  • Provide program-level ownership for large, multi-team initiatives delivered using Scrum and Agile practices.
  • Partner closely with Scrum Masters responsible for sprint execution, flow, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Ensure Agile delivery outcomes align with program objectives, milestones, and executive commitments.
  • Support delivery models combining dedicated resources and temporarily assigned subject-matter experts.
  • Cross-Team Coordination & Systems Integration
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple Scrum teams working on real-time embedded systems, embedded Windows and Linux platforms, enterprise software, and emerging AI/ML-enabled capabilities.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to anticipate integration risks early.
Governance, Planning & Financial Oversight
  • Own program-level planning including timelines, milestones, and readiness criteria.
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage budgets, forecasts, and performance tracking.
  • Translate sprint metrics into executive-ready program status reporting.
Executive & Stakeholder Communication
  • Provide monthly and quarterly formal program updates covering progress, risks, dependencies, and financial health.
  • Serve as a trusted interface between Product Development leadership, Engineering, PMO, Finance, and Deployment.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
  • Identify and manage program-level risks and systemic impediments.
  • Partner with Scrum Masters to elevate and resolve organizational impediments.
  • Balance Agile adaptability with disciplined controls required for mission-critical systems.
Product Launch & Post-Development Transition
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to support product launch readiness.
  • Assist with large-scale deployments involving distributed project offices and third-party international partners.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 8-10 years managing large-scale system integration programs.
  • Demonstrated experience working within Scrum / Agile environments.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software systems.
  • Familiarity with real-time embedded systems using embedded Windows and Linux.
  • Foundational understanding of AI / ML concepts in production environments.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be seated for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
