Job Summary and Qualifications

The Supply Chain Data Stewardship Lead will establish and maintain best-in-class data management practices within our supply chain domain. This role is pivotal in executing data governance policies, ensuring compliance, and driving data quality across critical master data elements such as items, vendors, contracts, and locations. The position will focus on developing and maintaining standard documentation, managing metadata and reference data, and supporting infrastructure integration for governance tools.

Acting as a subject matter expert, the Data Governance Lead will collaborate across teams to enforce policies, monitor data quality, and maintain audit readiness—building a foundation for enterprise-wide data standardization and treating data as a strategic business asset.

What you will do in this role:

Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance policies within the supply chain domain.
  • Maintain and update domain-specific data policies (e.g., data quality, security, privacy).
  • Communicate policy changes to stakeholders and ensure adoption.

Procedure Development & Enforcement

  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data handling.
  • Implement data quality rules and validation processes.
  • Monitor adherence to procedures and elevate non-compliance issues.

Metadata & Reference Data Management

  • Collaborate on metadata repository requirements for domain-specific data elements.
  • Ensure reference data (codes, classifications) is accurate and consistent.
  • Coordinate updates across systems and stakeholders.

Data Quality Oversight

  • Define and monitor data quality metrics for the domain.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality issues with data owners and custodians.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
