The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Support Specialist is involved with the day-to-day support of the VUMC MPS Contract.
The Team is responsible for conducting business in accordance with the SOW and must complete work in a timely manner to meet (or exceed) the SLA requirements.
VUMC infrastructure is unique, and RJ Young processes are customized to meet requirements. Processes Improvement should be front of mind, constantly evaluated and modified, to provide the most effective and efficient support.
Responsibilities- Provide onsite technical support for End User incidents, including but not limited to clearing jams, repairing equipment, and loading print drivers.
- Utilize remote diagnostic tools to address issues that do not require an onsite visit to minimize device downtime.
- Document printer inventory and device locations; research within the Pegasus system to determine outcomes for device consolidation.
- Respond to End User submitted requests (tasks), including ordering toner, delivering toner, delivering new equipment, installing new equipment, moving equipment, and removing equipment.
- Visit each of the 7000 devices for the Annual Maintenance Program to verify full functionality, complete a checklist, process paperwork, and verify equipment record (CI) accuracy.
- Assist with managed projects and shelf projects as scheduled by the RJ Young Project Manager and VUMT IT Liaison / VUMC PM, as directed by the Onsite Manager.
- Track work in VUMC’s Pegasus ticketing system; participate in onboarding training and ongoing training for new tasks.
- Follow established processes and protocols to complete assigned work from the Onsite Manager.
- Represent RJ Young professionally when interacting with End Users and uphold the company’s reputation as helpful and responsive.

This job typically operates in a general office environment and uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Physical DemandsMust be able to spend several hours a day walking in a hospital/office setting. Must be able to spend several hours a day sitting at a desk working on a PC. Must be able to lift packages up to 50 lbs. Must be able to team lift packages over 50 lbs. Must be able to move A4/desktop equipment to verify information.
Must be able to move A3 equipment (machines typically have casters) to verify information.
Full Time, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, or 7am to 4pm, or 9am to 6pm. Special circumstances may require the need to work late or on a weekend.
TravelLocal travel to customer locations in Middle Tennessee.

Prior experience with copier repair and inventory control a plus.
