Position: Accelerated AI Transformation Specialist (Microsoft)
Who You'll Work With

As an AI Transformation Solution Architect, you'll guide clients through complex data‑ and AI‑driven initiatives on Azure, helping them reimagine how intelligence is embedded across their business. You'll work closely with cloud engineers, architects, data scientists, and platform teams to design and deliver AI solutions that unlock new capabilities, accelerate decision‑making, and drive measurable business outcomes.

You'll play a key role in Slalom's Microsoft go‑to‑market strategy-helping clients turn legacy constraints into competitive advantage by defining AI‑first transformation strategies, shaping target‑state architectures, and creating pragmatic execution roadmaps that move organizations from experimentation to scaled impact.

Slalom is targeting a Senior Principal or Director for this role.

What You'll Do

* Lead and shape early‑stage client conversations, helping define problems, opportunities, and direction rather than engaging only after decisions are made.

* Actively participate in sales discussions, creating energy, translating AI capabilities into clear business value, and building client confidence.

* Bring practical creativity to roadmap and solution conversations, balancing innovation with execution‑ready thinking.

* Align AI solutions to product, engineering, and broader business goals to ensure measurable impact and scalability.

* Partner closely with Migration, Modernization, and Business Transformation specialists to deliver integrated, end‑to‑end solutions.

* Work effectively across functions by sharing knowledge, inviting collaboration, and contributing in a non‑hierarchical, team‑oriented way.

* Package and clearly communicate Slalom's AI capabilities and specialized programs in a way that resonates with client needs and priorities.

What You'll Bring

Cloud + AI Platform Fluency

* Demonstrated understanding of cloud‑native AI/ML platforms across Azure (OpenAI, ML Studio).

* Proven experience applying GenAI solution patterns such as intelligent search, summarization, content generation, classification, and Q&A agents.

* Familiarity with agentic architectures and related toolkits, including Agentspace, ADK, Lang Chain, and prompt orchestration frameworks.

* Ability to provide technical enablement and guidance to internal teams on new and evolving AI tools, platforms, and solution patterns.

* Working knowledge of AI governance concepts, responsible AI practices, and AI maturity models.

* Understanding of AI‑driven tools and techniques that support cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.

Data Awareness

* Strong understanding of how data pipelines, governance, and model readiness impact the success of AI initiatives.

* Ability to assess AI feasibility by evaluating data quality, accessibility, and underlying infrastructure.

* Working knowledge of vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search architectures used in GenAI solutions.

ML Lifecycle & AI Development Process

* High‑level familiarity with the end‑to‑end ML lifecycle, including training, tuning, deployment, and MLOps best practices.

* Ability to distinguish between proof‑of‑concept implementations and enterprise‑ready, scalable AI solutions.

* Sound judgment on when to use pretrained APIs versus custom models or fine‑tuning approaches based on business and technical needs.
