Position: Middle Mile Escalation Specialist, Middle Mile Partner Management (MMPM)

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) manages best‑in‑class surface transportation programs for our internal and external customers. This role is based at BNA
12 in Nashville, TN and is part of the Middle Mile Partner Manager team. The Escalation Specialist works with partner teams and carriers to manage carrier engagement, create and improve standard work, and recommend process and tool enhancements.

Key job responsibilities
  • Work is tactical, focused on goals where the problem, opportunity, and strategy are already defined.
  • Use knowledge and skills to build, implement, and/or meet assigned goals.
  • Handle straightforward problems and use knowledge to determine how to accomplish a task.
  • Escalate roadblocks and risks to leadership with suggestions for resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, such as writing new SOPs or testing new programs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, peers, and partner teams to deliver consistent results.
  • Maintain clear and concise verbal and written communication with peers, managers, and stakeholders.
  • Pull data from numerous databases (including Microsoft programs like Excel, Access, SQL and other data management systems).
About the team

The Carrier and Community Escalations Team (CCET) owns Middle Mile Escalation investigation and resolution to support proper routing and parking across North America and promote safe behaviors through carrier coaching.

Basic qualifications
  • High school or equivalent diploma.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (pivot tables & charts, multiple‑criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.).
  • Experience managing large data sets and using them to drive performance and process improvements.
Preferred qualifications
  • 1+ years of program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with SQL.

The base salary range for this position is $22.00 – $29.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
