Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of reports for DWR’s compliance with Phase 2 of EPA’s NPDES Electronic Reporting Rule (eRule).
• Serve as a technical program representative bridging the gap between IT partners and the programmatic team on eRule projects.
• Develop training materials and documentation for new and existing forms in MyTDEC Forms, e-reporting.
• Map data between systems and data flows to DWR and EPA databases.
• Provide outreach to internal and external staff on training for all aspects of e-reporting and NPDES data management.
• Provide support to internal and external customers, demonstrating strong customer‑service skills.
• Optional: contribute with proficiency in ARC GIS and Tableau for additional project opportunities.

• IT background with proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI, and/or SAP Business Objects, Excel, and data verification.
• Experience preparing data‑driven reports and understanding regulatory reporting and compliance with federal rules.
• Proficiency in developing in Python and SQL languages.
• Detail oriented, attentive to data quality.

This role requires an individual who can give presentations to audiences of various sizes, both in person and virtually.
