Dremio/SQL Developer

Location:

Nashville, TN (or) Alpharetta, GA Contract Responsibilities

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex queries using SQL for analytics and data transformation in Dremio (Must have skill).
• Design robust data models and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines for both structured and semi-structured data leveraging Dremio’s semantic layer.
• Advanced Lakehouse Analytics:
  Deliver high-performance querying and reporting experiences similar to Databricks, including working with large datasets, window functions, CTEs, and analytical aggregations.
• Performance Optimization:
  Profile and tune SQL workloads for efficient data processing and interactive response times in Dremio and Postgres environments.
• Collaboration:
  
  Interact with data science, BI, and business teams to understand requirements, translate business questions into SQL, and support self-service analytics initiatives.
• Data Governance & Quality:
  Implement data quality and governance best practices including lineage, cataloging, versioning, and auditing across the analytics platform.

• Mush have working with Dremio data lakehouse/lake analytics platforms.
• Extensive hands-on experience with writting queries in SQL .
• Ability to design, code, and troubleshoot large analytical queries for performance and scalability.
• Familiarity with concepts of modern data lakes (Iceberg, Delta Lake) and distributed SQL engines.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CDfor analytics code.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Exposure to metadata management, data cataloging, or lineage tools (Good to have).
• Familiarity with orchestration/automation frameworks (Airflow, Prefect).
