Lab Corp is seeking an IT Service Technician to join our team in Nashville, TN
, with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule!
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Local client‑facing IT field technician performs new installations, break/swap service to include installing and troubleshooting HP Win
11 Enterprise computers, HP monitors, HP laser printers, Symbol barcode scanners, Dymo and Monarch label printers. We do not troubleshoot to component level. - Installing and troubleshooting preconfigured Cisco networking devices:
Meraki VPN, WAPs, and patch panels. We do not run cabling. - Responsible for ordering, maintaining local I.T. hardware inventory and RMA of devices.
- Connect/install/troubleshoot internet sources: ATT Nighthawks, Verizon Dragons, Cisco MG41/51 and Broadband modems.
- Installs proprietary software, schedules onsite installations with clients.
- Learn proprietary software, train clients onsite and by hosting Webex training sessions.
- Clients include DR offices, hospital labs, Lab Corp patient service centers and internal employee support operations.
- Familiar with Active Directory (adding/deleting/moving PCs), Service Now, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Webex, Teams, helpdesk ticketing software, People Soft, and Webex.
- Proven multitasker, ability to maintain a positive attitude and prioritize tasks in a busy and rapidly changing environment.
- Overnight travel 10%.
- Client‑facing / IT field service technician.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
- Supporting a variety of corporate and local IT projects.
- High school diploma.
- One or more years of work experience in IT.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology.
- Client‑facing / field technician position.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
- Accessing elevated work areas and performing tasks at height using ladders, lifts, platforms, or other approved equipment.
Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan.
Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
