Dispatch Field Technician

ROLE SUMMARY

In this role, you’ll be working as a Dispatch Technician for Amazon and responsible for on‑call field technician work. You will specifically be supporting Amazon’s new innovative, cashier‑less technology JWO (Just Walk Out) within stores and 3rd party locations (universities, sports stadiums, airports, etc). These sites will be fully operational but as a camera, sensor, store gate, etc. break, that will trigger a ticket to our queue, which will push a message to the technicians in that region to respond for availability to troubleshoot.

You will have access to read through SOPs, technical documentation, diagrams, escalation procedures, and contact lists prior to working a ticket. This documentation needs to be reviewed once you join and prior to picking up a ticket.

You will have access to a remote “trainer” while working your first few tickets. Opportunities to become a remote trainer in the future will be available.

• 90% of the tickets will be P3, meaning we confirm receipt of the request within 24 hrs, and would have someone onsite within 72 hrs.

You will be paid for 2 hrs. minimum for every job regardless of how long it takes; i.e. if you have to fix a camera and it only takes 30 minutes, you’ll still be paid for the 2 hr. shift. When a work order is called out, there will be a preferred time that the client requests the technician. This is typically during normal business hours, but there may be times that they are outside of normal business hours or after hours.

There will always be an Amazon point of contact onsite during any job – they will not dispatch a technician until there is a store POC onsite or remote and that the part that you’re repairing is physically there too.

Self‑provided tools are required for each site.
