Associate Data Specialist

The Role

This role will support the Master Data Management & Data Governance team, part of the overall Data & AI Solutions team at Cat Financial. Responsibilities include supporting global data management, Customer 360 data pipeline, resolving misaligned data across platforms, ensuring data quality across Cat Financial’s global line units, and engaging in strategic projects to advance the data strategy such as standardizing contact roles, customer hierarchies, and supporting new data domains.

• Analyze requirements based on an understanding of conformed models and design solutions that are implementable and maintainable.
• Identify data inaccuracies in large, diverse datasets.
• Research, design, and document data specifications throughout the data life cycle.
• Understand data structures and the software used to manage data; experience with SQL, Snowflake, Cortex Code, Salesforce, Oracle, or similar ERP/CRM systems is a plus.

• Communicating Complex Concepts: present technical ideas clearly using summarization and simplification techniques.
• Agile Development: apply formal agile methodologies and practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Database Design: learn and improve data models to design efficient, effective organizational databases.
• Information Management: collect, manage, and disseminate information from various sources to enhance operational efficiency.

• Coursework or work experience in reporting or analytics for business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with data tools, queries, and datasets used to deliver accurate, timely insights.
• Ability to manage recurring deliverables while supporting ad‑hoc requests and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated attention to detail, quality, and documentation.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and curious learner.
• Desired: experience with Power BI or other visualization tools (Tableau, Snowflake streamlit, React, web visuals).
• Desired: experience with customer data management systems, core databases like Oracle or SAP, or customer relationship management systems like Salesforce.

• This is a full‑time position, five days per week, located in the Nashville main office.

Summary Pay Range: $74,124.00 – $
