The Security Assurance Services team, part of Amazon Web Services, leverages the expertise, ingenuity, and scalable security solutions to serve both internal and external customers and drive business outcomes.
We work with large enterprise customers to operationalize the shared responsibility model as they migrate to the cloud. This customer‑facing role focuses on helping organizations navigate governance, risk, and compliance challenges and translate regulatory requirements into scalable AWS solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities- Deliver in teams alongside Amazonians, partners, and customers to enhance security assurance and compliance programs.
- Define innovative compliance and risk‑management approaches that help customers move sensitive workloads onto the cloud faster.
- Resolve security assurance questions and guide risk management and compliance while operating in the AWS Cloud through deep‑dive discussions, strategic presentations, and hands‑on demonstrations of automated compliance.
- Convey partner and customer feedback to AWS engineering, support, and business teams to influence technology roadmaps.
- Travel to customer sites as needed.
AWS Security Assurance Services LLC, a PCI‑QSAC and HITRUST External Assessor Firm, is a team of industry‑certified assessors that help customers achieve, maintain, and automate compliance in the cloud by linking audit standards to AWS service functionalities.
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructure.
- 4+ years of experience in a technology domain such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, or data & analytics.
- Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route
53, S3). - 4+ years of external or internal customer‑facing, complex, large‑scale project management experience.
- 4+ years of experience assessing security posture and producing evidence of control effectiveness in cloud environments.
- 4+ years advising customers on architectures meeting NIST‑based industry standards such as NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑171, and CMMC.
- Experience leading the design, development, and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands‑on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience.
- Experience performing security assessments and information system audits of network, operating systems, application security, and IT processes.
- Clear understanding of Agile, CI/CD, Dev Ops and their impact on risk management and compliance.
- US government security clearance of top secret or higher.
