Report Builder – Equity Financial Reporting
Remote (EST preferred)
  • Salary: $125, 000+ Negotiable
  • Travel:
    Up to 10% (Industry, Client & Team Events)
THE ROLE:
  • We are seeking a Report Builder to support financial reporting and equity platform reporting needs for a large-scale migration and transformation project. This role focuses on report creation, report enhancement, QA, validation, troubleshooting, and client-driven reporting requests. While also supporting a large-scale equity platform migration and transformation initiative involving financial reporting, equity administration, reporting outputs, client testing/training, data validation, reconciliation, product support, and platform readiness.

    Candidates may flex across work streams depending on project needs, strengths, and client priorities
THE PURPOSE OF YOUR ROLE / THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:
  • The value of this role is to build and validate reporting outputs that are accurate, usable, scalable, and aligned to client and stakeholder needs. The consultant will work closely with Product, Financial Reporting, Migration, Testing, and client-facing teams to ensure reports function correctly and support business decisions
KEYS TO SUCCESS:
  • Strong reporting, data validation, QA, and troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work with complex data, reporting outputs, and system-driven calculations
  • Experience creating, enhancing, automating, or validating reports, dashboards, BI outputs, data extracts, or client-driven report requests
  • Equity compensation knowledge preferred; financial reporting exposure is a plus
  • SQL, Oracle, Dundas scripting, BI tools, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced Excel, or similar reporting tool experience strongly preferred
THE WORK YOU'LL DO:
  • Build, modify, validate, and troubleshoot reports and reporting outputs in support of equity financial reporting and platform migration needs
  • Support report QA, regression testing, calculation validation, and client-specific reporting requests
  • Work through report discrepancies, data differences, formatting issues, and source-of-truth questions
  • Partner with Product, FR Migration, FR CT&T, Admin Data Recon, Professional Services, and client-facing stakeholders
  • Document report requirements, logic, assumptions, defects, open questions, and resolution steps
  • Support report automation, process efficiency, and scalability efforts where possible
  • Assist with custom reporting requests after base reporting needs are stabilized
  • Escalate risks, dependencies, and unclear requirements appropriately
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • At least 3+ years of report building, data analysis, financial reporting, reconciliation, BI, or systems reporting experience
  • Experience with SQL, Oracle, Dundas scripting, Power BI, Tableau, Crystal Reports, advanced Excel, Alteryx, Access, or similar tools preferred
  • Experience with equity compensation, financial reporting, brokerage, investment reporting, or complex multi-source reporting preferred
  • Ability to validate report outputs and identify root causes when data does not tie
  • Strong documentation, communication, and analytical skills
  • CEP, accounting, finance, BI, database, or product/reporting certification preferred but not required
