Overview

Capitol Christian Music Group is seeking a Vice President of Data and Insights to lead strategy for Artist Intelligence across the label. This role is central to how data drives marketing and artist strategy, translating complex data into actionable insights that empower teams worldwide.

Responsibilities
  • Define and lead the global data, analytics, and artist insights strategy, ensuring data drives key decisions across the label.
  • Partner with senior leadership to translate business priorities into measurable, data-driven strategies that accelerate artist growth and market impact.
  • Transform complex datasets into clear, compelling narratives and actionable insights that shape marketing strategy, audience development, and revenue-driving opportunities across frontline and catalog.
  • Identify and interpret global and regional trends across streaming, social, and fan engagement platforms, translating cultural nuance into actionable strategy.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of analytics dashboards, reporting tools, and insight frameworks that enable teams to access meaningful data for daily decision-making.
  • Establish best-in-class practices for data storytelling, ensuring complex analyses are translated into clear recommendations for leadership and internal teams.
  • Establish a decision-making framework that balances speed and analytical rigor, enabling the organization to act quickly without sacrificing insight quality.
  • Evaluate campaign and initiative performance, distilling learnings into recommendations for future growth.
  • Champion a culture of data-informed storytelling, ensuring insights are communicated in clear, visually compelling ways that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Drive innovation in analytics by partnering with Data Analysts, engineering, and product teams to build tools that deliver real-time intelligence.
  • Lead the evolution of data sources, pipelines, and analytics infrastructure to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics, including predictive modeling and AI-driven insights, to anticipate trends and optimize performance.
  • Oversee department weekly reporting structure and ensure real-time communication on timely priorities, critical to favorable outcomes.
  • Serve as a thought leader of global fan behavior, cultural trends, and music consumption patterns.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing insights team, fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, and impact.
  • Establish and operationalize best practices for research, measurement, and analytics, ensuring insights are repeatable, scalable, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Build a deep understanding of internal stakeholders and artist partners to ensure analytics solutions address the most critical business and creative opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, insights, strategy, or related fields, with a track record of driving measurable business impact.
  • Experience in music, entertainment, media, or consumer digital industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic insights that drive measurable business impact.
  • Strong understanding of global music ecosystems, including streaming platforms, social media, and audience engagement trends.
  • Proficiency working with large datasets using tools such as SQL, Python, or similar languages.
  • Advanced experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau, Looker, or DOMO.
  • Experience synthesizing multiple data sources (streaming, socials, marketing, audience) into holistic insights.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and analytical frameworks for identifying trends and opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, engaging both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term vision with hands-on execution.
  • Proven leadership experience building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Passion for music and a deep curiosity about fan behavior and cultural trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field; advanced degree a plus.
