Job DescriptionThe Business Systems Analyst at L3
Harris ForceX serves as the Product Owner and liaison between the customer and the development team. The BSA is responsible for setting the vision for the product, prioritizing and accepting the work generated by the team to ensure the vision is met. The BSA also communicates customer requirements and feature requests to the software development team. The BSA works closely with Systems Engineers, Solution Architects and software engineering teams to break customer requirements into work items.
The BSA partners directly with Program Managers to track product delivery and maintains a Release Plan.
- Develops product vision and strategy, and communicates it with other BSAs, software development team members, customers and stakeholders
- Develops a product roadmap or release plan, and prioritizes features for development to ensure product delivery schedules are met or exceeded
- Serves as the Product Owner, and translates customer requirements
- Tracks project deliveries, analyzes business metrics, and reports status of deliverables
- Uses strong communication skills (written, verbal, visual) to bridge knowledge gaps between team members, technical and non‑technical
- Develops, maintains and prioritizes a healthy backlog using Agile Scrum practices, making informed prioritization decisions based on customer and stakeholder input
- Collaborates with team to build a complete understanding of the customer requirements
- Assists in writing and reviewing technical documentation
- Communicates with stakeholders at varying technical levels; coordinates directly with customers and contract officials, gives presentations and briefs of program status, including existing and new/future requirements
- Maintains a can‑do attitude; tackles new and unique problems and reaches solutions
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or business related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in a technology or business related field and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 4‑6 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, Engineer or experience with Department of Defense customers, hardware and software integration, or installation/maintenance of avionics systems
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

- May require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane
