Overview

In the NA Alternative Fulfillment (AF) team our wildly important goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as fast as feasibly possible, safely, on time, in full, when they arrive.

To do this, we continually innovate in our supply chain, plan for, design and manage our evolving transportation and vendor networks. The Program Manager will work with Ops, Product and Tech teams to develop and integrate products, create processes, and build mechanisms that continuously improve the Customer Experience as measured by speed and accuracy metrics, while also improving the vendor’s experience of doing business with Amazon.

The North America Direct Fulfillment is a fast growing, dynamic team that works to create an alternative fulfillment channel shipping directly from the vendor to the consumer. We strive to make everyone on and associated with the team feel welcome and have fun together.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as reputable partner across organizations, cultivating relationships and ownership with high level of relationship management skills.
  • Develop at-scale solutions, conceptualize, trial, expand and scale programs to improve on-time shipping and speed across NA.
  • Lead cross-functional work streams spanning Product, Tech and Ops teams to automate and optimize internal and external processes.
  • Advocate data-driven decisions, applying statistical analysis, and ensuring an evidence-based approach to programs.
  • Strategically think and prioritize long-term value while leading work streams and charter development.
  • Own stakeholder communication by creating, refining, and presenting documents to senior leadership and gaining alignment across teams.
  • Directly outreach to vendors to root-cause and execute scalable solutions to improve delivery accuracy and speed for the largest marketplace, North America.
  • Work with Product, Tech and other Ops stakeholders to contribute to the development of processes and new launches.
  • Manage, execute, and report to leadership by owning a specific program with scope and impact across North America.
  • Conduct deep dives using analytics tools to derive meaning from data and propose next steps to leadership.
  • Own end-to-end initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration and holding Tech & Non-Tech teams accountable.
  • Act as reputable thought partner for stakeholders, validating business opportunities through thorough analytical knowledge.
  • Update leadership and the team on strategic planning initiatives, working with other Program Managers and the Daily execution team to provide guidance on minimizing impacts to speed and accuracy metrics.
  • Work with Vendor and Carrier Performance Management teams as well as Capacity Management PM to build strategy around improving speed and accuracy metrics and execute short-term and long-term goals.
  • Collaborate with Product Management on product development and automation initiatives.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly reporting analyses of programs.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements.
  • Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
  • Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary ranges: USA, AZ, Tempe – $ to $ annually. USA, TN, Nashville – $ to $ annually.
  • Package includes sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
