Who We Are And What We DoThe Information Security Manager is responsible for leading the operational cybersecurity program for the information security team, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of public health information systems and sensitive data. The position manages day-to-day security operations, supervises cybersecurity staff, and oversees the implementation of security policies, technologies, and compliance initiatives aligned with NIST CSF, HIPAA, and state requirements.
How You Make a Difference In This RoleSee Key Responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily security operations and supervise cybersecurity personnel.
- Manage incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
- Implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Coordinate risk assessments and compliance activities.
- Oversee identity and access management and privileged access reviews.
- Review security architecture for new systems and technologies.
- Manage security awareness and phishing training.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Conduct third‑party/vendor security risk assessments.
- Develop executive dashboards, metrics, and reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Seven or more years of information security experience.
- Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience implementing NIST Cybersecurity Framework and HIPAA Security Rule.
